Made it out to the Zombie show over the weekend with the rest of The Rock crew!
It had been a few years since I had a chance to see him and was not sure what to expect.
Not lyeing when I tell you it was one of the best show I have seen in a long time.
Zombie pulled the crowd in so well with his between song schtic, sing alongs, and he sounded killer.
From the theme to House to the rarley head live Scum Of The Earth and the Manson Sweet Dreams re-do during Thunderkiss.
With all of the stuff he has been going through with changeing record companies I am sure that he will be back when Hellbilly 2 come out.
Make sure you are in the crowd that time!
You will walk out ready for more!
See you there!

Ps. Yes Jake did scream like a little girl through the whole show!

Cripes. This week has flown by. The weekend is already here. I’m not mad at all, I just can’t believe how fast the days have went. I guess it’s because it’s been so gorgeous outside, huh?

I don’t have much planned for the weekend, other than work, work, work on the new house. We’ve got the bathroom demolished, now we’re going to move the toilet (which means we gotta replumb it), take out the bathtub and replace the sink…Oh, and don’t forget tiling the floor, walls, and throw up new sheet rock. Not too sure we’ll get it all done this weekend, but we should be able to get a good chunk done. We’ll see.

Hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze in a ride or two, or three or four! It’s gonna be unbelievably nice outside, pushing 80s! How can you pass it up? Talked to Moose about heading toward Northeast Kansas, we’ll see if that pans out…If not, we’ll be on the road somewhere. Looks like for the most part, we’ve got this beautiful weather for a little longer, which is awesome! I’ll take it. Hell, as long as it’s not raining, I’m happy.

What are your plans for the weekend? Got anything more exciting than moving a toilet? Give it to me.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. It was a beautiful weekend, so hopefully you spent some time outside enjoying it! I finally came up with a Halloween costume at the last minute…I went to Westward’s party as Hunter S. Thompson, taking a cue from Johnny Depp’s portrayal in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I think for a last minute costume it turned out alright. Maybe I’ll put more thought into it next year. Hell, I could start thinking about it right now…Ah, who am I kidding.

I didn’t make it on the Cassoday breakfast run Sunday morning. I had every intention of doing it, but I just couldn’t get to it after my shift. Saturday, I picked up another accessory for the bike, cleaned the apartment and started demo work on the new house’s bathroom…Not to mention spending a little too much time at a neighbor’s Halloween party (basically, it consisted of a fire pit in the driveway…one of the best parties I’ve been to!). So, come Sunday morning, I needed a little rest. BUT, I didn’t get it. Continued the demo on the bathroom. It’s always fun knocking walls down.

I couldn’t let the day get away, though. I was disappointed I missed Cassoday, so instead, Moose and I hit the road to Topeka to a killer biker bar right off of Highway 24 called Kickstart Saloon. Moose had been there before, and a couple of friends talked us into riding along with them Sunday…It didn’t take too much convincing, and since it was so nice, we decided to bring the cameras along and shoot another installment of 100 Mile Radius. If you don’t know what this is, hop on over to Moose’s blog and check it out…Click here for the list of 100 Mile Radius rides so far.

Looks like the week is going to be beautiful…if I can snag some free time away from working on the house, I’ll definitely be on the road.

So I am almost recovered from a weekend at the track.
What a weekend it was!
I know there are some of you that don’t get the whole NASCAR thing but if you are even on the fence about it you really should get out to the speedway just to get the whole experience.
Started out Saturday morning with the tailgate….Way to early but how can you go wrong with beer and eggs.
Went up to check out all of the vendors.
If they can put a number on it they can sell it.
Back to the tailgate for some burgers, brats, and more beer.
Then it was time for the Nationwide race.
Now here is the trick that I will share with you about not getting road rage trying to get out.
Save some food for the 3rd tailgate of the day.
When everyone else is waiting to get out…fire up the grill again and relax!
Sunday I had to work but made it out just in time to see Biff (my driver) loose the lead to Tony (my girls diver) but still had a blast.
Seeing how I will not be denied my tailgate time when the race was over we fired up the grill on final time.
All in all race weekend in Kansas City is right up there with Rockfest to me.
Next year head out to the Kansas Speedway and see what you think for yourself!
Till next time!

What a day!
15th annual March of Dimes Bikers For Babies was kick ass.
Once again you out did yourselves!
We had over 6,000 riders and raised over $660,000.
Thank you so much for coming out and helping to save some lives.
And yes you did do that.
I have to admit it take a bit for me to get choked up but there were many moments along the way that I would look ahead and behind me and see nothing but motorcycle lights and I knew that we were all out there for the same reason.
Going through the intersections that were being blocked off for us and getting the thumbs up, seeing everyone wave along the way, the support signs, and the kids and adults looking in awe as we rolled by.
It made me feel very proud.
If you were there you know what I am talking about.
If you could not make it this year come out next year.
I guarantee you will end the day with a great feeling in your heart!
Thank you very much Kansas City for all you do.
This is the best city in the country without a doubt.
