Here’s my list for Best Rock Stripper Songs, in no particular order:

10. Nine Inch Nails – Closer
9. Motley Crue – Girls, Girls, Girls,
8. Def Leppard – Pour Some Sugar On Me
7. Buckcherry – Crazy Bitch
6. Marilynn Manson – Pick Any Song
5. Halestorm – I Get Off
4. AC/DC – You Shook Me All Night Long
3. Rob Zombie – Foxy, Foxy
2. Kid Rock – So Hott
1. (Who should fill this spot?)

Again, the previous 9 are in no particular order, seeing as how top ten’s are typically subjective. So my question to you, faithful Rock listener, is which song should round out my Top Ten Best Rock Stripper Songs? Whichever song chosen I’ll hook you up with a nice little rock prize pack (pair of Rockfest Tix included! Who’s ya boy!!) In the even of a tie or multiple entries, winner will presumably me chosen at random in a drawing.

And the winner is….
Fergie with Slash Beautiful Dangerous!
Congrats to Kelso Klein who won the Rock Prize Pack, including Rockfest Tix!!

I tell you, this is a beautiful combination for the Harley/car giveaway! I know, I know, I always say its a beautiful combination…but it always is!! Now, here’s a quick tip to help you try to win yourself a key (well, a couple tips, actually). First, there is more than one way to win a key…being number 9 on-air is obviously one way, but you can also sign up when we are out and about around town with both rides. Not only do you get to see them both up close and in person, but your odds are pretty good when you drop your name in the box that we have with us.

Tip number two is specifically for the on-air key. As you know, you listen for the cue to call and caller #9 picks up the key. You can text the word “key” to 34426 to an idea of when we are going to give the keys away BUT, keep in mind these are an approximate time. A lot of times people will call in right at that specific time and get mad when we’re not giving away the key right then and there. You still have to listen for the actual sounder that tells you when yto call. Odds are, if your phone is ringing through before we play that sounder, you’re too early and you probably won’t win the key. So, pay close attention for that sounder to fire and then get on that phone and win yourself a key!!! We’re still pretty early in the key giveaway process so there will be PLENTY of chances to pick one up still.

Good luck to all of you!!!

Made it out to the Nickelback show last night and I have to say those guys really do put on a hell of a show.

Got stuck in traffic on the way out so I missed Sick Puppies but got in for the whole set of Shinedown.

I have never seen those guys put on a bad show and last night was no exception.

As far as a band that can put the crowd right into the action they are the kings of it.

Also nice to have the tribute to Dime during Simple Man.

Breaking Benjamin did a really good set.

They kind of kicked it up a notch and did allot of the harder stuff.

Nickelback was amazing as well.

They have a week off so I think they had a bit more fun with the set than I remember from the last time they were in.

From Burn It To The Ground to the Garth Brooks and GNR covers they put on a hell of a show.

One part in particular that I enjoy with Nickelback is during Picture they roll lots of photos from their past and put in a bunch of picture from KC.

All in all it was a great show!
Till next time!

Ps. Get your Rockfest tickets! I want to see you there!

If you go back a few months to my Vlog review of The Hangover, you know I didn’t find that movie anywhere near as funny as all those who said it’s the best comedy since Superbad.

I did, however, find HTTM meeting and exceeding all my expectations. Cusack’s timing is fantastic; Rob Corddry continues with his elaboration on the prick funnyman  he showed in “What Happens in Vegas”; Craig Robinson’s Eric Webber was perfect, and young dude Clark Duke provided just the right disconnect of those who didn’t live in the 80’s to those who remember the 80’s.

Which brings me to Crispin Glover. One of the biggest names of the 80’s, showing up in a movie about traveling back to the 80’s?! Nailed it!! And of course the antagonists to our heros, who all could have been in Johnny’s gang from Karate Kid… so long as their not fighting the red scare of course.

Wonderfully awesome script and original story, incredibly funny 80’s references that were blatantly obvious and some that were subtle, “I want my two dollars!”, in conjunction with a solid cast helped seal the deal for me that Hot Tub Time Machine takes the smack talk title in a street fight win over The Hangover!
Great White Buffalo… Great White Buffalo… Great White Buffalo…

Is killer.

Last week I picked up the new CD from Slash and have not taken in out of my player yet.

It is nothing  like GNR but if you are looking for something good and fun to listen to this is your pick for the week!

Slash teamed up with a slew of killer artists on this one.

Ian from The Cult doing “Ghost” is the one you are hearing on the radio the most. Great song in my book!

He also has 2 with Myles Kennedy from Alterbridge. “Back From Cali” is one of the greatest songs I have ever laid ears on.

He also worked with Chris Cornell on “Promise”.   Amazing song.

My all time favorite on the CD has to go to Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas! with ” Beautiful Dangerous”.   Who would have thought Fergie could kick so much ass!
I have no dbout that we will be hearing that song at our local strip club by the end of the week!

Slash also teamed up with the likes of Lemmy, Dave Grohl, Kid Rock, Ozzy, and more.

If you want GNR dont pick this up but if you want a good listen get it ASAP!

Till next time!
Enjoy!

O my god ac/dc kicked soo much ass last night I hope you were there becuse it was the best show I have ever seen in my life! Really!

Ok, that might have been more than two word but you get the point!

I know AC/DC has been around for a long time but for a band that started out in ‘73 they can still bring it like no one else.

Yeah…1973!

I have had the honor to see many great concerts but last night will go down as one of the best in my book!

For Those About To Rock  (thank you AC/DC!)

On Tuesday (4/6) legendary shredder Slash showed up on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. If you look closely, however, I think he would have preferred that the show be hosted by Conan O’Brien.

So I was watching the news this morning and they were talking about another two riders that lost their lives on bikes this weekend.

I know how much fun it is to bust out the bike and find your freedom but please be careful!
It was a long winter and not everyone is looking for you just yet.

I know  we have just as many rights on the road as a car remember they have a cage and we dont.

So please be careful as you go out for your ride and give the guy in the car a bit more room than they need.

It could save your life!

Ride safe!

In the words of Motley “I just got a new tattoo”!
So it was a good weekend.

Normally rain on the weekend is a bad thing but I used it to my advantage!
Those of you who know me are well aware of my love of tattoos.

After about two years I finally made it back to East Coast Al’s and got my latest addition!
Why the long wait you ask?
I have no idea.

I guess I was just lazy but in the end I guess sometimes you just have run with the “good things come to those who wait” line.

Already got some good ideas as to how to finish out the arms and then I guess it is on to the legs!

Lets just hope it wont be another two years!

Till next time have a great week and big thanks to East Coast Al!
You nailed it once again man!
Happy tattooing and be safe out there!
